ひまわり Sunflowers
この間はJapanese Assistant Teacherの景子ちゃん（同大）、のりこちゃん（東外）とロンドン観光をしてきました!!!
Last Saturday, i hanged out with Keiko (from the same uni) and Noriko (from Tokyo Uni of Foreign studies) who work as Japanese Assistant Teacher like me.
10月1日ぶりに会う二人♪元気そうでした!!!!
this is the 1st time to meet them since 1st of October. they seemed doing well!!
エロスの像やビックベンなどロンドン!!!って感じのところを回りました
we went to see Eros and Westminster and so on.
んで、景子ちゃんとちょっとだけナショナルギャラリーに行ってきました。
and Keiko and i went to National Galley
そこにはゴッホの「ひまわり」（15本の向日葵）があって、
there is Sunflowers (with vase and 15sunflowers) by Gogh,
思っていた以上に金ピカしていて、景子ちゃんとびっくりしたんだ!!!
and it was really gilded than i expected.

ゴッホの生涯を小学生のころテレビのドキュメンタリーで見たのを思い出した
when i was in elementary school, i saw the documentary about Gogh’s life.
ゴッホは自分と同じ名前の人の存在(確か父親も同じ名前)を知り、
He found the people that had the same names with Gogh, ( i think one of them is his own father)
自分が何者なのか分からなくなり、模索、混乱し、
he couldnt know who he was and got confused…
自分の肖像画を描いたらしい。
and he drew himself…
また、日本の浮世絵に影響を受け、影のない世界を描いた･･･
also he was interested in Japanese Ukiyoe and he drew the world that doesnt have shadow.
ひまわりもその作品の一つ何かな???影ないもんね。
you can see there is no shadow in Sunflowers pic. i think its the one of pics.
んで、ゴッホは日本には影がないって思ってたらしい。
he thought in Japan there is no shadow…
光だけの世界か…
the world has only lights….
自分が何者なのか、完全に自分を理解することなんて誰にも出来ないと思う。ただ少しでも知る努力は必要あれど、、、
we’ve never known completely who we really are. but still we need to try to know ourselves though…
一時期私の中で『自分探し』という言葉が流行った。
i loved the word self-searching when i was in high school
これをするのは『自分探し』のため、
doing this for SELF-SEARCHING
これに挑戦するのは『自分探し』のため。みたいな感じで。
tyring this for SELF-SEARCHING… like that.
でも、これって全部自分だけのためにしてきたんだなって今は思う。
but now i think i was doing these only for myself.
自分探しもいいけど、他に探すべきものがあるんだと今は思う。
its okay to search yourself, but there is the things more important than self-searching.
ゴッホのように（実際はどうか分からないけど）
like Gogh ( actually i dont know how Gogh was)
人って簡単に傷ついて壊れてしまう…
people are easy to break down…
少しずつネジが緩まってることに気づかず、
never notice that their screw loosing little by little
バランスを崩して壊れてしまうのかもしれない。
and break down the balance and disturb their equilibria.
でも、そこで小さな助けがあるだけで、
but if there is some little help,
また前のように同じビートを刻みだす…
they will start beating as same sa they were…
少し小さくなったかもしれないけど、
even they got smaller,
少し力は借りているけど、
even they still need helps,
生きている。それに変わりはない。
the fact remains that they are living.
生きている限り、その人は生きる必要がある。
as long as life would last, we need to live.
だって生かされているんだから。
because we are kept alive.
この命は与えられたもの。だから自分ではどうにもできないし、しちゃだめだ。
this life is given not mine. so we cant, shouldnt stop them.
私たちが生きる目的を果たすのはいつなのか。
when are we going to finish our purposes to live?
それは死ぬまで。今私たちはこうやって生きている。
till our death. now we are here.
それは私たちが生きなければならないという証拠。
that means we should live
私の人生の目的は終わっていないという証拠。
that means we still have purposes to live
私はこの世の光を知ってる、
i know the Light of the world.
この世の光に包まれた時、世界は平和になるんだ。
if the Light of the world come here, the world will be covered by peace and love
私も光みたいな存在になりたいな。
i want to be like light
今週も新しい一日一日が始まる。少しずつ新しく変えられますように!!!
the NEW day is starting! please change me newer and newer!!!

そういえば、小学校のとき、夏休みの宿題でひまわりの絵描いたな。
やっぱゴッホのほうが上手やな。

イギリスは私が大学生の時に初めて一人で旅行した国です。１週間１人で好きな所に旅行しそのあとケンブリッジ大学で４週間の語学研修を受けました。今、振り返っても夢のようなひと時でした。
そのイギリスでお仕事をされているのですね。とっても羨ましいです。楽しいことばかりではないでしょうが、素晴らしい経験を積むことでしょうね。私は今子供たちに英語を教えています。試行錯誤の毎日ですがとても充実しています。
日本語教師、がんばってくださいね。これからもブログ楽しみに読ませていただきます。

I’m impressed. ;)
When you said “when are we going to finish our purpose to live” It really hit me that our purpose here on Earth ends when we leave Earth. 0.o … Wow.
Makes me want to get my butt in gear. lol
Anyway,
It’s cool you got to see some of Gogh’s paintings. I had to read this big essay on one of Gogh’s paintings for my SAT. ^^
Seemed like a good person. :D

oh thanks. well, the end of purpose story i heard from my housemate. i thought its true!!! and wanted to share with my friends!!!!! well, you know i have more time to think coz i dont have many friends like in japan. but i love making new friends and having time with God is actually great!!!

I’m very happy to hear from you and that your school is just my sisiter school!
I went to UK and Hendon School during spring vacation when I was a 2nd year student at high, so it was March 2005. It was only for two weeks but really wonderful days for me!! I went to London Eye, London Dungeon, British Museum, and so on! I’ve been fascinated by UK since I was a student of junior high, so the visit was just like a magic! My Hendon’s host student has been a student at Hendon School :) She is really good at Japanese, so perhaps you know her…!
At university, my major is English Literature. I enjoy learning English everyday and Chinese just a little. By the way, I’m going to UK Feb. and March next year!!! This is a program of my uni.. For one month, I’ll study English at Manchester Uni. and for another month I’ll work at a company or an organization as a experience of work!(In Japanese, we call it internship.) I’m looking forward it very much, and on a weekend during my stay, I’m thinking of visit to my Hendon’s host student and her family :) Then if I could, I want to visit to Hendon school with her!! How are the days at Hendon School? I love the big tree in the large ground of Hendon School:)
